At Eco-terric, we strive to create beautiful, colorful and environmentally friendly living spaces using healthy materials that are also socially responsible. In addition to accessorizing and furnishing your home with our products, we offer professional design services to assist in creating spaces that are kind to you, your family and the environment.

Our standards of design are based on the principles of Bau-biologie, which is the study of the effect of the built environment on human health. Our knowledge of healthy products, along with our design experience ensures a beautiful and healthy home. Our design services include: space planning, auto-cad, drafting and detailing, custom upholstery, drapery, and carpeting, residential and contract design, lighting, assistance with colors, furnishings, and accessories, and healthy home consultations.

Rowena Finnegan, owner and founder of Eco-terric, is a certified Building Biology Environmental Consultant (BBEC) and is a member of the Board of the International Institute for Bau Biologie & Ecology (IBE). Rowena opened her first Eco-terric store in Bozeman, Montana in 2005. In 2006 she opened a store in San Francisco—now part of the Green Home Center. She provides Bau-Biologie consulting in both geographic areas—including the Jackson, Wyoming area.

Rowena collaborated with Cisco Brothers to create the Inside Green furniture collection. Rowena is also a contributing writer to Green*Light magazine, and has been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle.

Eco-terric is a member of Co-op America's Green Business Program. The Green Business Network™ provides the networks, resources, and technical assistance needed for socially and environmentally responsible businesses to emerge and thrive in communities across the US. Green businesses operate in ways that solve, rather than cause, both environmental and social problems. These businesses adopt principles, policies, and practices that improve the quality of life for their customers, their employees, communities, and the environment.

For the second consecutive year Eco-terric is a recipient of the Montana EcoStar Award. The program, run by Montana State University Extension, recognizes Montana businesses, organizations and individuals that are moving towards sustainability by conserving valuable resources, such as water, energy and clean air; serving as role models for the state with their pollution prevention efforts; and surpassing state and federal requirements to reduce solid and hazardous waste generation.

Eco-terric is also a co-winner of the 2007 Environmental Award for Outstanding Achievement in Pollution Prevention—an award co-sponsored by Montana State University Extension and the U.S. Small Business Administration. Ideal Bite is the other co-winner and is also located in Bozeman.

Eco-terric is a member of the Gallatin Valley Independent Business Alliance. GVIBA is a rapidly-growing membership organization of over 75 locally owned and independent businesses in the Gallatin Valley and beyond (Bozeman, Montana, area). Its mission is to promote locally owned independent businesses in order to preserve the Gallatin Valley’s unique character. GVIBA highlights the local independence of our members and the importance of shopping locally in the Gallatin Valley and surrounding areas.
